How the Process Works
Following is a step-by-step process for how we’ll generally work with you.
- You’ll visit our website to learn more about what we offer.
- You’ll contact us by email at REENVISION@eurekavision1.com or by phone at 865-684-7438 with any immediate questions you might have and/or to schedule a free visit from us to discuss what you need and/or our suggestions for maximizing your space. The visit is free for those living in Knoxville or within 30 minutes’ drive outside of Knoxville (one-way driving). (Note: There is a travel fee if you live more than 30 minutes’ drive outside of Knoxville, which we’ll inform you about before we visit.)
- After our consultation with you, if you’re interested in hiring us for our design and permit service, you’ll sign a contract with us and pay us 50 percent of the full design and permit service fee to take measurements of your space, develop a plan for the space, and redesign the space for your approval.
- We’ll then develop the plans for your space for your approval. Once you approve our plan as shown to you, you’ll make a second payment of 25 percent.
- We’ll then seek to get the plan approved for a building permit from the city. If approved, we’ll provide the plan and permit to you so that you can hire a building contractor of your choice to do the work. At this point, our job is done. If, however, the plan is not approved for a permit, we’ll make changes to meet the city’s permit requirements. Then, we’ll provide the plan to you. Again, at this point, our job is done, and you’ll make your final 25 percent payment to us. You’ll now be ready to see your vision come to life.
- We can provide you the names and contact information for some building contractors we know, but you are free to choose any contractor you choose. We do not recommend any specific building contractor and are not responsible for their work. The building work and its cost will be between you and the building contractor from this point on.
- If you don’t want to manage your rental areas on your own and deal with renters, you might also consider contracting with a property management company that will do that for you for a fee, making it easier for you to simply enjoy your new space. Again, we can provide you the names and contact information for some property management companies, but you are free to choose any company you want. We do not recommend any specific company and are not responsible for their work. The agreement you make with a property management company is between you and that company.
Once your new space is ready, you can sit back and enjoy it – and perhaps even make some money from it.
